01What We Collect

The vehicle information you enter into MyAutoLog — all vehicle records, service entries, fuel logs, documents, photos, and reminders — is stored in one of two places:

• The local storage of your device, or
• Your personal iCloud container if iCloud Sync is enabled.

Tapronix LLC does not operate a backend server that holds your vehicle data, and we have no access to the information you enter into the App.

Separately, the App includes a mobile measurement tool used to understand the performance of our advertising. This tool collects limited technical and usage data — not the vehicle records you log. What it collects, who receives it, and how to turn it off are described in Advertising & Measurement below.

02iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud Sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud Drive under your Apple ID. We do not access, collect, or transmit this data. Apple is responsible for the security and privacy of your iCloud account. You can disable iCloud Sync at any time from within the App or from your device's iCloud settings.

03AI Chat Feature

MyAutoLog includes an optional AI Chat feature that lets you ask questions about your vehicle and maintenance. The AI Chat feature is opt-in — it only sends data when you choose to use it.

What is sent

• The text of your question.
• Any photos or documents you choose to attach to that message.
• Where relevant, basic context such as the vehicle make, model, and year you are asking about, so the response is useful.

Where it goes

This information is sent over a secure connection to our third-party AI service provider solely to generate a response to your request. Tapronix LLC does not retain the contents of your AI Chat messages on our own servers. Our provider's handling of the data is governed by their privacy and data-retention policies.

Please do not include sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, financial account numbers, or medical records) in AI Chat messages. AI Chat is intended for vehicle and maintenance questions only.

04Export and Import

You may export and import your data to transfer it between devices or accounts. The exported file is under your control — it is saved where you choose and is never transmitted to Tapronix LLC. Likewise, imported files are read locally by the App.

05Third-Party Data Sources

To support VIN decoding and vehicle lookups, MyAutoLog may query public reference data sources such as the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration vPIC database. These queries contain only the VIN or vehicle identifier you submit and are not tied to any account or identity. We do not control or guarantee the accuracy or availability of third-party data.

06Advertising and Measurement

We promote MyAutoLog through paid app-install advertising. To understand which campaigns lead to installs and subscriptions — so we don't waste money on ads that don't work — the App includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK, a mobile measurement tool provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.

What it collects

• Device and identifier data, which may include your device's advertising identifier (only if you allow tracking — see below) and general device information.
• App activity / usage events, such as app installs, app opens, and in-app purchase or subscription events reported by the App Store.

This tool does not receive the vehicle records, service history, documents, photos, or AI Chat messages you create in the App. It is used for advertising measurement, not to read your logged data.

Who receives it and why

The data above is shared with Meta to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, attribute app installs and purchases to specific campaigns, and improve which audiences see our ads. Meta's handling of this data is governed by its own data policy. Because this involves sharing identifiers with a company that operates across many apps and websites, Apple classifies it as "tracking," which is why the App asks for your permission.

Your control — App Tracking Transparency

When relevant, the App shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Your choice controls how measurement works:

• If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," the App will not use your device's advertising identifier, and no identifier-based tracking takes place. Limited, aggregated measurement may still occur through Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork, which does not identify you individually.
• If you choose "Allow," the advertising identifier may be used to attribute your activity more precisely.

You can change this choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device. The App works the same either way.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers, and we do not build advertising profiles from the vehicle data you log in the App.

07Children's Privacy

MyAutoLog is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can address it.

08Your Rights

Because Tapronix LLC does not store your vehicle data on our servers, most data rights are exercised directly through the App and your Apple ID:

• Access: Open the App to view your data, or export it via the App's export feature.
• Correction: Edit any record directly within the App.
• Deletion: Delete individual records in the App, disable iCloud Sync, or uninstall the App. Deleting iCloud data also removes it from your iCloud container, subject to Apple's deletion practices.
• Portability: Use the export feature to take your data with you.
• Advertising opt-out: Turn off tracking at any time via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, as described in Advertising & Measurement above.

09Your Responsibility

You are responsible for managing your exported data and for keeping your Apple ID secure. We cannot retrieve lost files, recover data after iCloud Sync is disabled and the App is uninstalled, or undo deletions that occur outside the App.

10Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the App or to applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Material changes will be reflected in an updated version of the App where reasonable, and your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
